Becky and April
Almost a year ago I made two new friends, April and Becky. April has a five year old named Caleb. Caleb's brain didn't form completely before he was born and he has hydrocephalus. Becky's son is named Ben. He is seven and was born with microcephaly. Obviously, both of these sweet boys are SO much more than their diagnoses-just like Hunter, but it was our special calling as caregivers that brought us together originally. After Thanksgiving, Becky came to Utah to visit for a week (she lives in New Hampshire). The three of us got to spend some quality time together while Becky was here and it was SO fun. It was more than that too, though; like a balm for my soul. Spending time with these lovely ladies convinced me that not only will we enjoy the same "sociality" (D&C 130:2) in heaven as we did here, but also that we probably developed relationships before this life. And while our minds may not remember, our spirits definitely do.

What a fun week! I just want to say that I think you three are beautiful, amazing women, with just as amazing little boys! I only know Em, but I feel like I have gotten to know Becky and April a little bit through Em's posts and your comments. You are all examples to me, I just want you each to know that, and Em, love ya tons!
When I see pictures of you holding each other's children, you just radiate pure love. Beautiful.
We were MEANT to be together! This made me cry. Thanks for sharing sweet friend. I do miss you and April something terrible. Can't wait to reunite in the summer...and this time BEN gets to come. :) xoxo
Des and Lexi: thanks for your sweet, loving words.

Thanks for the sweet thoughts Lexi and Des- You are both so thoughtful!
ps. I deleted my last attempt at a comment because I forgot the "you" in I love YOU!" :)
You always express things so eloquently. I love you, Em. We hope you guys are doing well. Please let us know if we can do anything for you.
