Birthday on the way

Hunter turns 3 on Tuesday. I'm so grateful we've been able to spend another year with him.

I'm glad I took the time to put this video together for his birthday again. It is so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day blah of life. But when I take the time to step back and absorb everything in perspective, singular days come together to form a very special whole. It is gratifying to see what I've been "doing" with my life and know that it is good. Of course, I can't claim all of the credit on this front. Bryson is in the trenches with me day after day and I couldn't ask for a better companion.

I can't really explain my feelings about the song I used in this video. All I know is it is quintessentially Hunter.

Thanks for the video Em. I am in awe of you. As I watched the video, it struck me that most people don't do those sort of activities with their healthy children, and here Hunter is thriving and living life. You are an incredible mom. I love you and your family.

Ok, so the teacher in me realized that I wrote balling instead of bawling, I know silly, but I am weird like that :) Anyways, loved the post!!!

Hi Bry and Em. That was a beautiful video. The life that you have provided Hunter with the last three years is amazing and an inspiration. As blessed as you are to have him in your family, he is equally blessed to have such awesome parents.

We miss you guys.

Emily and Bryson,
Janeen shared that video with me and my sisters, wow it is so beautiful! I cried when I watched it alone, and cried again when I showed my family, what an inspiration Hunter is. But equally amazing is how you both care for and serve him. Thank you for your Christ-like example to all of us. He is so blessed to have parents like you that love and care for him so incredibly.
I love that song, and have been familiar with it for several years, but it was the perfect fit for the video. Hunter does have a special calling, to teach and give his love to all of us, he is such a pure spirit, what a privilege to have him in your home.
We love you all so much. On the days that are difficult, please know that we are praying for you and your family.
I don't know if you've heard that Rebecca received a mission call to Georgia this week! She will be entering the MTC on June 17th. She is so thrilled and excited to serve the Lord! She is also graduating from BYU this week, so lots of exciting things are happening in her life right now.
You're blog is great! Thank you again for the beautiful video, I loved, loved it!
Take care and tell everyone hello!
Love,
Jackie, Curtis and family

Emily, that was amazing, and so inspiring. You are such an amazing mom. I love how you said, "singular days come together to form a very special whole" that is beautiful! It is so true. Your movie made me cry. We need to hang out very soon. I bet Hunter would like our new dog, and he is very calm and good with kids. So lets plan a time to meet at a park or you come over hear. love ya!

Hi,
You don't know me, but your friend Julie Chambers works with my husband. She gave us your blog because we have a little boy very similar to yours! How fun to find another mom who has the same privilege! Our little boy Caleb doesn't have an exact diagnosis, but the term lissencephaly is often used to describe him. I just wanted to send you a hug, and tell you it was a blessing to read about your sweet son and family!

Caleb's blog is www.winkfromheaven.blogspot.com if you'd like to take a peek!
Sending love your way
